Mailah Panaligan-Paterno brings a diverse nursing background spanning from the Philippines to the United States. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Luke’s College of Nursing in 1995 through a full scholarship and later obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2023, specializing in Adult Gerontology.
With a career in acute care across three countries, Mailah has extensive experience in medical-surgical and oncology nursing. She was recognized as “Nurse of the Year” during her time in Saudi Arabia and continued her work in Hematology/Oncology at Willis-Knighton Medical Center North after moving to the United States in 2016. She is certified in Medical-Surgical and Oncology Nursing and remains active in professional nursing associations.
Mailah is passionate about patient advocacy and education, with a focus on helping individuals—especially the elderly—manage chronic conditions through preventative care. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and traveling.
