Dr. Kenechi Anuligo was born in the United Kingdom and raised in Michigan before moving to Los Angeles, California. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California (USC) and his Doctor of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean in Sint Maarten.
With years of experience in Family Medicine, Dr. Anuligo has served as a Medical Director for state and county facilities, worked in private practice across several states, and provided care through Federally Qualified Health Centers. He is passionate about patient-centered, compassionate care, treating every patient as he would a member of his own family.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Anuligo enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, playing music, and staying active through swimming, jogging, and cycling.
A native of Chatham, Louisiana, Terri Ewing, FNP-C, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in December 2006. During that time, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. Following graduation, she immediately pursued her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Northwestern State University while working as an RN at the Winn Parish Medical Center in the emergency department. She completed her master’s degree with Northwestern in May 2010 and is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has continued her work with the emergency department and was welcomed to the Winn Community Health Center team in April 2012. She cares for patients at the Winn Community Health Center’s main office. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Terri and her husband, Andy, are the proud parents of twin girls, Sadie and Sarah, one son, Owen, and reside in Winn Parish.
Dr. Jennette Bergstedt-Cormier received her degree in Pediatrics from the Louisiana State University-Shreveport campus. Board-certified since 1994, Bergstedt-Cormier was the chief resident of the LSUS Medical Center before moving to Sulphur in 1995. “I’ve always loved children,” she said. “But what really drew me to this profession was in school at LSUS. While in the early stages of study, you try many different kinds of medicine, and I just clicked with Pediatrics immediately.” After having the responsibility of a private practice for several years, in Lake Charles, La, she was ready to slow things down a little bit. Bergstedt-Cormier most wants to establish that connection with her young patients and their parents. “I like trying to see the entire family picture,” she said. “It’s a team effort to care for a child. I’m here to help you and advise you.” Getting behind family model of WCHC is a welcome change from practicing in a bigger city.
A native of Campti, Louisiana, Candace Hubbard, FNP-C received her Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing from Northwestern State University in 2005. She then worked for 8 years as a Registered Nurse at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in the Perinatal Department. She received her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from Northwestern State University in May of 2013. She is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is an active member of both the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She joined the Winn Community Health Center’s team in August of 2013 at the Winnfield Primary School-Based Clinic. Candace is married with two children who both attend Winnfield Senior High School. She is an active member of Fairview Baptist Church in Campti, Louisiana.
A proud native of Winnfield, Louisiana, Stephanie Simmons has dedicated her life and career to caring for her community. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Family Practice from Grambling State University.
With over 25 years of experience in the medical field — including the last 12 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner — Stephanie brings both knowledge and heart to every patient she serves. Her passion lies in helping individuals understand and manage their health, empowering patients to take charge of their well-being through education and preventive care.
Stephanie believes that healthcare should extend beyond the clinic walls. She values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients and is known for her compassionate, down-to-earth approach.
Outside of her professional life, Stephanie is married and the proud mother of three children. She’s also known affectionately as “Mah’Gi” to her first granddaughter — a role she treasures deeply. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending quality time with her family, finding joy in life’s simple moments and adventures.
A native of Winnfield, Louisiana, Lacey Gorham McManus, received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2009. She is certified through the National Commision on Certification of Physician Assistants. Lacey has practiced as a physician assistant in Winnfield in family medicine since 2009. She joined the Winn Community Health Center’s team in June of 2024. She enjoys all aspects of healthcare, but likes to focus on wellness and disease prevention in all ages. Lacey is married to Trey McManus, and together they have three children: Finlay and Micah who are students in the Winn Parish school system, and Chase who now lives in Heaven. Along with participation in multiple community groups and activities, she is the current Winn Parish School Board member for District 1, as well as an active member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield.

Mallorie Parham, PA-C, is a native of Jena, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Louisiana Tech University in 2017 and went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport in 2019. Since that time, Mallorie has gained valuable experience by working in a surgical specialty as well as Primary Care for the past 5 years. Mallorie has found that her heart is in primary care as she values cultivating strong and lasting relationships with her patients. When Mallorie is not working, she can be found spending time with her husband, Alan, and two young daughters, Finlay and Danni. Together, they enjoy traveling and spending as much time as possible outdoors. She looks forward to serving the citizens of Winn Parish and surrounding areas.
Jennifer is originally from Jonesville, Louisiana. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2005 and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University in 2025.
With extensive experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Labor & Delivery, Home Health, and Hospice care, Jennifer has served in a variety of healthcare settings, including both acute and home care. Her years of experience in rural healthcare have strengthened her passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients in underserved communities.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys raising chickens, attending her daughter’s cheer competitions, spending time outdoors, traveling, and being an active member of her church. She values time spent with her husband and children and approaches every aspect of life with care, dedication, and faith.
Dr. James Morris is a prescribing Medical Psychologist in Louisiana. Dr. Morris has been providing clinical services for adults, children and adolescents for more than 30 years. Dr. Morris completed doctoral training in clinical psychology and neuroscience at the University of Wyoming and Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Morris also completed specialty training in clinical neuropsychology, and has extensive experience in pediatric psychology, forensic psychology and mental health administration.
Dr. Morris has served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry with the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Dr. Morris is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Louisiana Academy of Medical Psychologists.
Dr. Gentry Haughton is a board-certified podiatrist specializing in the medical treatment of
the foot, ankle, and lower extremities. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Haughton is
dedicated to delivering personalized, evidence-based care to patients of all ages, from
athletes to seniors.
After earning a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Dr. William Scholl College of
Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Haughton
completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at West Houston Medical Center, where she gained extensive training in forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, diabetic limb salvage, trauma, and sports medicine. Dr. Haughton is also certified in advanced wound care and is a trusted resource for the management of complex diabetic foot ulcers and infections
.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Haughton enjoys traveling with her husband, Brandon, son
Embry, and daughter Laney. Dr. Haughton loves being active with her four dogs.
Steve Martin Burnum, RpH is a native of Winn Parish and resides in Calvin, Louisiana. He graduated from Calvin High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana in Monroe in December of 1995. He is certified through the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy and has continued to provide health care to local residents for over 26 years while working in Wal-Mart Pharmacy, Fred's Pharmacy, and Express Rx of Winnfield.
Dr. Julie Evans is originally from Goldonna LA. She earned a BA in Addiction and Psychology in 2012, and a MA in Counseling in 2014 from Northwestern State University. She later completed a Ph.D. in 2024 from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans in Counseling, Education, and Supervision.
Dr. Evans is committed to helping children, adolescents, and adults find healing and hope. She provides support for students and individuals facing a wide range of challenges, with a special focus on those who have experienced abuse. Guided by compassion and her faith, Dr. Evans integrates Christian values with professional counseling to support clients on their journey towards wholeness.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys expressing her creativity through art, spending time with her family, walking, bike riding, and Bible study.
