Sara is a graduate of Louisiana College in Pineville, earning her undergraduate degree in 2007. She later obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University in 2017 and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, providing care to patients across the lifespan.
Sara is certified to perform wellness exams, DOTD physicals, specialized screenings, chronic care management, and the treatment of acute illnesses. She is passionate about expanding her family practice by delivering quality care to residents of Avoyelles Parish and the surrounding areas.
Sara is married and has one daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and traveling.
Marian Harris is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who recently joined Avoyelles Community Health Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alcorn State University, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Southern University and A&M College, and a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Family Practice at the University of South Alabama.
Marian has experience in multiple areas of nursing including cardiology/critical care, clinical research, correctional medicine, rehabilitation nursing, and care management. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, preventative care and has a strong interest in serving medically underserved communities.
Marian is married to Dr. William Harris and is the mother of two daughters, Gabby and Alle. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is currently accepting patients and looks forward to caring for residents of Avoyelles Parish and surrounding areas
Roshanda Washington, PMHNP-BC, is a lifelong resident of Avoyelles Parish and was raised in Simmesport, Louisiana. She began her nursing career in 1995 as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from LSUA in 2000 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LSUA in 2018. She received her Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner focus from Northwestern State University in 2021.
Roshanda has extensive experience in the medical field, having worked at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital for 18 years within the medical-surgical service line. During that time, she served in multiple leadership roles including charge nurse, clinical coordinator, and clinical director. She also has experience working at Freedom Behavioral Hospital.
Roshanda is a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport, Louisiana, and currently resides in Mansura. She is the proud mother of four children—two girls and two boys—and values time spent with her family and community.
