Lex Pierre, DDS
Grant Community Health Center welcomes our new Dentist, Lex Pierre, DDS, to our clinic and community. Dr. Lex Pierre was raised in the small town of Saint Martinville, LA and graduated from the Episcopal School of Acadiana in 2009. He attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL, earning a bachelor's degree in Biology/Pre-Health, with a minor in Chemistry and graduated with summa cum laude honors in 2013. Thereafter, he pursued his professional education at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry (LSUSD) where he was a member of many organizations, graduating in 2017. ln order to stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, Dr. Pierre maintains active memberships with the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is extremely passionate about providing oral healthcare of superior quality in an underserved area. Outside of the office Dr. Pierre enjoys traveling, playing tennis, the piano, and lots of other outdoor activities. He is excited to grow and continue building his brand at Grant Community Health Clinic and cannot wait to educate his patients about the importance of oral healthcare.
Laura Fairbanks, MD
Dr. Laura Fairbanks grew up in Prospect, Louisiana and is a graduate of Grant High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from LSU in Baton Rouge. After college, she went to medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana and graduated in May of 2000. Dr. Fairbanks then entered Family Practice Residency at LSU-Family Practice Clinic in Alexandria, which she completed in 2003. Since then she has stayed in practice in the Alexandria area which includes working for several years at the VA Medical Center. Dr. Fairbanks is happy to be back in her native Grant Parish. She and her husband Mike have two children and are active members of St. Rita Catholic Church.
Kathleen Robichaux, PA-C
A native of Alexandria, La, Kathleen Robichaux MPAS, PA-C, received her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant degree from LSU Health Sciences Center- Shreveport in 2009. She then completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2011. Kathleen is married with three children and is a parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church in Alexandria, La. Her interests include spending time with her family and friends, crafting, cooking, praising God, and serving others. Kathleen is excited to be working in a rural community and hopes to help her patients achieve healthier lives. One of Kathleen's favorite quotes is "Do ordinary things with extraordinary love." - Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
Mildred Prudhomme, RDH
Mildred graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2001 with Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. A native of Olla, LA; she began her career working in Jonesville and Alexandria, providing the highest quality dental care to patients all over Central Louisiana for many years.
Mildred began working for Grant Community Health Center in 2015. She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to provide top notch dental care to her patients in Grant Parish and the surrounding area, just as she did at her previous locations.
